Located in the foothills of the Adirondacks within the Village of Northville, you will find unique and relaxing accommodations here at The Orendaga. Private but still close to town, rustic charm is paired with modern touches to create stylish, yet cozy spaces. Fully renovated by the previous family in the early 2000’s, our cabins have retained their original Adirondack charm over the years. Each space has its own character, with an eye for detail and simple, comfortable furnishings. The Blue Heron Suites are open year round, as well as the newly renovated Farmhouse and our cabins are open mid-May through mid-October.

Our History

The Orendaga has been welcoming guests since the first cabin was built in the early 1900’s! A popular destination for travelers, hunters, and fishermen, The Orendaga boasted modern housekeeping cottages with all the amenities in its earlier years. Accommodations like these were prevalent throughout the Adirondacks and are a part of the region’s rich history, though few of the establishments remain today.

Surrounded by mature trees and garden spaces, our two and a half acre property is part of that history, and is a private oasis within the bustling Village of Northville. Located on the Northville Lake, locally known as “the Little Lake”, the property is only a short distance from the Great Sacandaga Lake and within walking distance of town.

Over the decades, renovations have occurred with each family that has operated The Orendaga. Passed from the Horning family, to the Sonderfan family, then to the Intrabartola family, the Ryan-May family, and now the lovely property has come to currently rest with the Donadio family. We hope to continue the tradition of a restful and relaxing vacation destination… please come join us!
